Relaxation and Visualization Sessions
I offer private, peaceful Relaxation and Visualization sessions for pregnant women in preparation for labor and birth.
In these individual sessions you will experience guided relaxation through muscle training and visualization. By focusing on physical and mental relaxation, you can prepare your body and mind for labor and birth, release fear and tension and be better prepared for birthing your baby.
Through relaxation techniques you can train your body what to do during a contraction. You can learn to instantly release a tight muscle or a tensing up. Through the deep state of visualization you can enter a mental calm where, through guided imagery, you can release tensions and fulfill the natural and positive outcome you desire.
Guided imagery and relaxation are extremely effective ways to prepare for labor and they are especially helpful techniques to know when giving birth. They can help to reduce stress hormones, lower your blood pressure, lower the risk of complications and reduce fear and anxiety.
Through our session/s you will learn the skills you need to practice at home and be better prepared when labor arrives. You will be able to focus and visualize your baby making it’s way down the canal and into your arms, opening your body to allow for a gentle birth.
